Second Chance Animal Rescue Society (SCARS) helps homeless, abandoned and unwanted animals from communities across northern Alberta. Dogs and cats entering its care receive veterinary treatment, rehabilitation and foster or shelter care before adoption. SCARS also works with communities where access to animal services can be limited and supports programs intended to improve animal welfare and reduce unwanted litters.
