Greater Edmonton Animal Rescue Society (GEARS) is a volunteer-run, foster-based rescue serving Edmonton and surrounding communities. The organization helps animals that are abandoned, homeless or otherwise in need by providing veterinary care, foster homes and adoption support. Its network of volunteers gives animals a safe place to recover and prepares them for carefully matched permanent homes.
