Out of Africa Animal Sanctuary is a volunteer-run registered charity near Rivière Qui Barre. Established in 2002, it provides sanctuary and rehabilitation for vulnerable animals while using the sanctuary as a place for community and youth education. With a large family of animals in its care, the organization combines hands-on animal care, volunteering and educational experiences to encourage compassion and respect for living creatures.
