Angus
Edgar Farms cattle graze rotationally on the farms pastures and are fed forage and grain grown on the farm. The cattle are finished on farm-grown barley for marbling, flavour and tenderness.
Edgar Farms raises its cattle from conception through finished beef on its own farm, providing full animal traceability. The cattle graze rotationally rather than being raised in a feedlot environment. Beef is processed at a local government-inspected facility and dry aged for approximately 21 days.
Edgar Farms states that its marketed beef is raised without antibiotics. The farm also states that its beef is produced without added hormones.
